Abstract: In an environment of international competition to adding value to foreign investment and the result of development of communications and information technology, mobility of capital across borders, many countries, including Iraq seeks to attract foreign investment and participation in developing the country’s infrastructure and the development of physical and human resources and the advancement of the Iraqi economy. In order for Iraq to attract foreign investments to be creating the proper environment for it, including security and political stability and the issuance of a package of legislation in addition to the adoption of international accounting standards as these standards is of paramount importance to the foreign investor in the preparation of financial statements with appropriate disclosure and transparency and high comparability, which help the investor in making investment decisions. The statistical analysis showed that the quality of international accounting standards affects in a positive way to adding value to foreign investment and by 77.4%. |
