Abstract:
AralingPanlipunan subject is one the disciplines that aim to create a good citizen of the state. In the Philippines, Article XIV of the Constitution has outlined that the state underscores its commitment in providing accessible and quality education to all citizens as a fundamental right. Also, in Republic Act 10533, known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, operationalizes this constitutional mandate by instituting the K to 12 Basic Education Program. This thesis aims to examine and analyze the factors affecting the attitudes of Grade 7 students toward learning AralingPanlipunan, a subject that focuses on social studies, history, and culture of Asian Countries. By gaining insights into the attitudes of these young learners, this study seeks to identify factors that may contribute to their motivation, engagement, and overall academic performance in the subject. This research used a descriptive-correlation research design to establish the profile of respondents, along with age, number of siblings, and family income. The survey tool indicates the factors that may affect the attitude of learners toward the subject of AralingPanlipunan, such as family, school (considering both facilities and teacher), and community factors. The findings of this research can help the researchers in designing effective instructional strategies and strategic intervention materials to enhance the learning experience and outcomes in AralingPanlipunan.
