Abstract:
Republic Act No. 10533, otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 states, “the additional two years of Senior High School aims to broaden the goal of high school education for college preparation” Basic education is starting to practice and embrace the culture of research. Writing research is one of the fundamental skills that must be developed by every senior high school students. This research study aimed to enhance the research skills of senior high school students in the Province of Albay. This study utilized mixed method. Based on the results of this study, instructional resources are highly needed by the teachers and administrators teaching research subjects, as well as administrative support, and trainings and workshops; Secondly, profiles of research teachers and administrators have a certain degree of relationships to their research needs; Third, there are various existing and prevailing problems that teachers and administrators experience in handling research subjects; and lastly intervention plan can be tailored that it addresses the different issues and problems encountered by teachers and administrators in teaching research subjects.
