The findings reveal that: (1) Entrepreneurial self-efficacy exerts a positive influence on firm performance in family businesses; (2) Entrepreneurial self-efficacy positively impacts entrepreneurial orientation in family businesses; (3) Entrepreneurial orientation is positively associated with firm performance in family businesses; (4) Entrepreneurial orientation serves as a positive mediator between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and firm performance in family businesses; and (5) Socio-emotional wealth moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance in family businesses.
