Abstract:
The researchers discovered that firms operating as logistic hubs experienced diminished employee performance during the pandemic. This study aims to address a research gap concerning the factors related to employees that may influence overall firm performance. Additionally, the innovative findings of the model developed in this study contribute to the existing body of knowledge, particularly in relation to goal setting theory, by integrating it into a new framework applicable to the logistics hub sector. Consequently, the research employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a confirmed strategy and comprehensive data analysis of latent variables to assess firm performance. Furthermore, the novel insights derived from the model established in this study enhance the current understanding of goal-setting theory, as it is incorporated into a fresh framework tailored specifically for the logistics hub industry. The findings enhance the theoretical understanding of goal-setting theory and provide a foundation for further exploration of employee performance within this context. The study adopted a quantitative approach, implementing a validated methodology alongside an extensive analysis of latent variables to evaluate organizational performance. The results contribute to a deeper theoretical comprehension of goal-setting theory and establish a basis for additional investigation into employee performance in this framework.
